Emilio Salgari was born near Verona. He dreamed about exotic lands and adventures – travelling merely with his own imagination and talent to send his voice and stories all over the world.
As a fine author, Salgari knew how to combine fantasy and free creativity to great effect with research, analysis and pure craftsmanship in the construction of his stories, characters and settings.
This exhibition, once again, sees Veronese companies called upon to merge their ancient craftsmanship and quality with the suggestions of contemporary design – even from distant worlds – while always highlighting the richness of local traditions.
This dialectic exchange between local realities and internationality equally traces Salgari’s dreams and travels through actual and productive processes.
The positive outcomes of last year’s edition have culminated in the definition of an even more detailed project that superbly evidences the very high production capacity of the companies involved: the challenge was to create a full-scale catalogue for the complex contemporary contract market by focusing on the high-end market through high-level products in terms of both quality and huge design variety. Two suites, a home theatre, a fitness area, a lounge bar, a reception – detailed spaces in terms of materials and design clearly demonstrate the infinite and multiple productive capacities and facets of a territorial quality evident as such in its extension and quantity.
